Hi! I am 5'9" tall also. You must be quite young yet because when you get into you later 20's you will find that men love tall women. It took me a long time to feel tolerant of my height because of the taunting I got in school. Now I am thankful to have the extra inches because I've always kept my back straight and now I look statuesque. Always correct your poster and it will pay off. I think all women are beautiful. We are all like flowers that make earth better looking. Look at yourself as a long stemed rose instead of a miniature rose. Be glad you have your long beautiful legs and celebrate yourself as someone that has a purpose in life that no one else can fulfill. Someday you will find another person that feels uncomfortable about themselves and you can help them. Some men have told me that they want to marry a woman that is tall to have a chance to have tall kids. Many studies have shown that a well dressed, well groomed, smart tall person gets more attention for better jobs and management choices. ...So, Look good! Get a great hairstyle and get someone to show you a way to dress that is powerful and lovely and you will have the world at your feet! God Bless you sweetie!

You're taller than the average girl/woman, but you're certainly no giant. I'm 5'8" and I'm always a bit jealous of women who are taller than me! In high school I had several female friends who were around 6-feet tall; oddly enough most of my male friends were my height or shorter!

The only thing that truly sucks about being tall is finding clothes that fit!

If you ever want to feel short, take a trip to the Netherlands - the people there are among the tallest in the world, on average. My husband just got back from there, and he was complaining that all the men were over 6'5" and the women weren't much shorter! I think he was exaggerating, but still!

You don't say what your age is, and that makes a difference. 5'9" for a woman is not giant. In fact, that is a good height. The average woman I think in the U.S. is 5'5"-5'7", so you aren't too much taller than that. Look at models, many are well above 5'9".

Oh, consider yourself very lucky to be that height. I am 5 ft.3inches. I have cousins that are 5ft 10 inches to 6 ft and they all can wear anything and look great. Look at most Miss America's , most are very tall. They all look so graceful when they walk. Most of all, short or tall, be proud of who you are. We all are different heights and weights so we won't be bored looking at clones. A lot of it is, plain and simple heredity. We for sure have no control over our height.

You're not a giant, although you are taller than average for a female. My mom is 5'10 and it worked out fine for her. Just don't concentrate on your height, think about what you like about yourself.

it doesn't matter I just means that there are more opportunities for you. Plus you wont need to stand on you tippy toes to kiss a tall guy although i wish i was your height. I'm trying all ways possible to get to your height..:(

I'm 5'10. I used to feel tall but then my 13 year old sister out grew me. She's 5'11! I also had a friend who's 6'2 and she's the shortest in her family. She's really pretty.
