Is it normal to have really heavy spotting a few days before you start taking your placebo pills?

I just started taking Ortho Tri-cyclen in the beginning of the month. I'm almost done with my last week of active pills. My placebos will start on Sunday but it looks like I started my period today, Thursday. I had some brown spotting before and I was told this is normal. But now that I have like two more active pills to go, the spotting is heavier, brighter red...basically like the start of a period. Is this normal??? What could possibly be happening?? Please help. Thnx.

Give your body time to adjust to the pills. It's messing with your hormones, so you might experience things you're not used to. Keep taking the pills, and you'll level out in a couple months.
