Wow, you are really brave reaching out for help, it is so hard. You should be proud of yourself for going 4 months, it must of been really hard. You may always want to do this, but you never have to, it just sometimes feels like you hav to, but you don't. Try to find some help, professional help. Someone who has worked with other who feel like you do. Not everyone understands this disease and you really need some understanding. Be proud of your self for trying to improve and just keep fighting, but don't do it alone. This is a serious problem and needs serious professional help. Get started and put this behind you. Good Luck!

I have been in remission since February, but once in a while I still purge. You may never completely free yourself from the tendencies but you can get better if you want to, and it's worth it. It's amazing how much you forget what it's like to BE NORMAL, and to not have the disease rule your thinking. Try seeing a nutritionist to get a sched for your diet and avoid buying foods that are your triggers until you feel more stable. Therapy is a really really good idea and be sure to eat a variety of foods so that your body feels satisfied and not deprived. Good luck!

5 things.. Meds and counselling for self esteem, compulsive behaviors , joining a support group in person or online and nutrition 101.

I was bulimic for 20 years and stopped with Parnate - a MAOI inhibitor drug, rarely prescribed now. With counselling and peer support I conquered and am healthy now. There are new drugs that control impulsive behaviour such as binge/purge.

With this kind of support you can stop. I did.

I used to be bulimic also. Its not about the food its about having control of something, anything. I could always control what was in my stomach. The way I finally quit was realizing it never helped me. I never gain control after I puked. I just felt worse. When you think about it just buy your time. As soon as too much time has passed you will think well it doesn't matter if I puke now. Its too late. So buy time, and try to focus on something that will make you feel like you have control.

i cut my arms when im sad. i kno its hard to stop, but its better if u do. ppl can be harse. and if the police get involved, its nasty. so if u wanna stop work through it. try anorexia instead and slowly work back up to normal eating. hope this helps.

Tell your counselor or school nurse. Do it immediately. Or tell your parents tonight. This is serious. Your teeth, your health, everything can be ruined by bulimia.
