Okay, i need a halloween costume...im 13 and i want to do something creative and cute. but i want to do something homemade, something i can just make at my house, because im not allowed to go out and buy anything. Have any ideas?

My Friends and I are going to be different color crayons! All we did was take a huge sheet of poster board, wrote in big letters CRAYON and on Halloween, cut two holes in it so that when you roll it into a cylinder, your arms fit through. Then you glue the sides together. Wear the color of clothes, I'm purple, and paint your hands and face. Get a regular party hat and paint it. Now you are a crayon!!!

you clever boy/girl! you hit the nail. you want to have your cake and it eat too. it is possible with a bit of imagination. if you are a boy or a girl it does not make much difference. take a whole lot of newspapers -- make a costume to yourself -- you will either use the two pages of the newspapers laterally or horizontally --your choice -- you can try multiple papers and it will not cost you a cent to try it. you can staple any additional newspapers...or glue....scotch tape. i have already seen this done by a young student. i have a picture too -- but can not send it via here. good luck. good idea for a 13 yr. old....

If you have some stiff paper or poster boards, and some aluminum foil, you can make a "dunce type hat, and make a big cone to slide over your body and go as a Hershey's Kiss!

Get a pair of old overalls and a straw hat. You can put some fake freckles.

I had these students that went as IPOD girls. They wore large bright posterboard on their backs and painted their face black and dressed all in black, then they had white earpieces. It was pretty cool.
