Ouija boards: are they real or fake ?

What makes the plastic thing move ?

they most definatly are not fake , altho there are those that do fake it ! i have used them a long time ago and i will not even come close to another id burn em if i could ! i could list what we did and i can tell you this that the thing we had asked there was absolutly no way for either of use using it to know the answer !
but i really caution you please dont use it , it opens doors of to many negative forces ! the thing lies oh it will give you real answers but it will lie about who or what it is !! dont play with it i swear it is the devil !!! the last time i was one to use it it took many many months to get thru what happened dont mess with it !plz ! ill tell you this once when we were using it everyone in the house was in the same room watching and we asked for a sign that this was for real the lights turned off and back on again then off and we had to off then on to get em to work the the damn garage door opened i'm not kidding this was the first thing that happened very freaky !!! then this other time which was very scary when using it "by the way we had been messing with it for weeks by this time " and all the cabnits in the kitchen opened i mean everything was open and the basement light was on but noone was there everyone was in the same room !!! that was the beginning of many weeks of some scary crap needless to say none of me or my friends have ever touched another one and i know we never will , i will if i'm torching it !

Well, the board itself is real in that it exists. Do they work? 9 times out of 10 I'd say no.
But the idea of contacting someone from beyond the grave could be. I'm not convinced of it yet but I've seen some pretty weird things that have made me wonder over the years. If you believe in this then it would be a spirit or astral that is moving the plastic thing trying to communicate with you. Obviously there's nothing special about the Ouija board though...you could use a glass or just a small object as a pointer. That is if you believe it actually works though.
It's also possible that even if one of the people around the board isn't intentionally moving it that some part of their subconscious could be affecting them and causing unintentional movement without their knowledge.
I guess the best way to answer this question would be to research things a little and try it!

as i said in your other question the ouija board is not evil and what makes the cursor move is the spirit itself.but it is controling your arm,or hand.the fact that you have to let it go to make it work.let the spirit contact you through your body.you will feel the spirit around you.can you picture yourself actually letting the spirit move your hand each time you ask it a question?if you can than that is how you know the cursor is moving on its own.i have a story about the board last night.i was sitting there playing with it and all of a sudden the cursor flew right out of my hand.i knew that i asked it a question that it offended it.and i was by myself too.no one else was in the room except for me.now if i was trying to show off in front of someone why would i want to do that showing off in by myselfL?

I think Ouija boards are as real as the Devil is. It is kind of like asking:
Is fire hot and will it burn my hand if I stick it into the flame? Why risk it!
In my opinion, playing with a Ouija board is just asking for trouble. I am not religious, but I, personally don't fool around with them.

I think they are satanic. I'm a pastor and a girl called me one night. She asked me to get rid of her Ouija board for her. So I took it and burned it the next day. She was no where around. She asked my sister if I burned it at 5:00 p.m. the next day. Because she could feel it. That was the exact time I had burned it. My advice stay away from them. Some play with them as toys and fake it. But I think they can be used as real.

I'm not sure, but my friend had a strange experience with one. She says something started answereing her questions, giving a date of death and such and started threatening her. She got scared and stopped playing, and later on she looked the stuff he told her up and there was a guy by the name he gave her who died on the date he told her. For three weeks afterward everytime she got in her car her winshield wipers would turn on by themselves. Incidentally she'd had many strange experiences in her house--I'm not going to go into that, but they were spooky, and I had a few too when she wasn't there. And one time I made a homemade ouija board and played with it by myself (I know, sounds pathetic doesn't it, but I was in the Army at the time and was bored :D). So anyway, After a while the pointer thing started moving and it felt like some magnetic force was pulling my hands, and it answered some questions about the barracks I was living in that turned out to be true. That night when I went to bed I dreamed that the devil was holding me down and trying suffocate me and I woke up gasping for breath. I tore up my "ouija board" and I've never played with ouija boards since!

I honestly think that the Ouija board is moved by your hands by your sub-consious but I have used them before and answered things that I didn't know but who knows that I may have had them stashed away in my mind somewhere.

me, my sister and our couson was messing around with a Ouija board and the pointer flew off the board just missing my sisters head and smacked in to the wall right behind her to this day me and my sister won't touch one they are to open and and sprit that wants to come through can.

Not quite sure, but my mother says that Ouija boards provoke bad spirits.
