Why is it exactly that you cannot use one alone? What if you very careful about what you ask?

It doesn't work if you use it alone because at least one person has to fake it. It's a piece of plastic over cardboard. That's all it is. Have fun.

first, if you don'tknow the history and the power of the board, don't touch it. It is a very powerful object. Never use it alone. If a spirit comes through and you and the board are not blessed properly, it may posses you. It's not for fun and games, if you use it as such you will regret it. Even those of us who are careful and resectful of the spirits have had problems using the board, so you using it alone is not advisable.

They work better with two people. I have a hard time getting mine to work alone. I usually have to raise energy first before it will work for me alone.
The movie the Exorcist is the reason everyone believes you will be possessed by the board and the movie witch board.
I have used them off and one since I was a kid in the sixties. and never had any problems.

you should not use one at all.
they are powerful tools of divination and the spirits contacted are seldom who they say that they are.
they will do anything to gain a foothold in this world and once they do they willl not leave you alone.
o don not really feel like typing out my entire oujia board rant at this moment, let me just say that i am a Pagan spiritual cleanser, some call me an exorcist (but that is not exactaly what i do) and most of the homes that i am asked to bless/ or clean of negative energy involve a oujia board being used by an un-trained person.

you are supposed to use the planchard/ouija board in pairs (or greater numbers) so as to verify the results. Plus, the magic of two is greater than the magic of one.

it is not good to use one alone because you might not be able to control what come threw the board by your self and if you use one alone the spirit coming threw will try to use you in a more direct way

Why wouldn't you be able to use one alone? You can. But it isn't a toy. You're contacting the otherworld and you have no defense against whatever decides to come through the door you opened.

um although i never tried this game and I'm very skeptical about it... from what i read and heard you shouldn't play alone because you are much more vulnerable to the spirits especially the evil spirits... from what I've read you must perform a cleansing ritual prior to playing the game, good luck and have fun... although i think ur gonna be fine... it's a Parker Brothers game for crying out loud! lol

These are w/o a doubt an oddity for sure. I have seen them for years. I think you can use them by yourself but not sure.
As I recall they were banned from most of my friends houses when I was a teenager.
