I have had two questions and had several answers removed and points deducted, but they specifically said why they did it and gave a link to tell thim if I felt they were wrong.
One was because it really wasn't a question or an answer, which was true, more of a statement.
The deleted answers were clearly from the asker who sent in an abuse report that he clearly didn't agree with.
It's apparent to me that YahooAnswersTeam gives violations or deletes questions when they are reported to be "abusive" by the participants.
I amazes me that so many people believe its the libs on the YahooAnswersTeam, etc. when we all read and even respond to clearly racist, stupid, ridiculous and just ones of free speech and the question is kept posted, gets a lot of responses and even goes into voting; Yahoo allows that because they expect us to police each other and send in the abuse reports and then they go ahead and violate, delete, suspend. Think about it, it's only because they make it part of the whole process--like the community guidelines which we're supposed to follow and also snitch on others with. It's pathetic. I was surprised when I clicked the Report Abuse link and saw that they had their own list made up for you to pick from as being abusive; not even a blank to fill in yourself. THEN, they want all the details of why you feel it's abusive. So they don't have to do the job themselves.
What annoyes me is that stupid thumbs up or down rating for the question and the answers. I think that really sucks. It's not necessary and I'm tired of these "new and improved feature enhancements" they keep changing that are really unnecessary and cheesy.
Well, I strayed off the subject at hand and I apologize, but the Yahoo Answers Team leaves a lot to be desired and I'm sure most of the participants here could brainstorm better on how to improve the site than they do.
I doubt you'll get an explanation from them if they didn't send you an email violation notice in the first place.

I'm sorry this happened to you. It happened to me and a whole lotta others. We need to somehow get their attention before it's too late. Many, many good users have quit. And it looks like many of the regulars are at least absent this week. I'm really pissed. I got reported and yanked for 'hate speech', on a posting of mine that was pointing out, very clearly, how HATRED is WRONG. The chatting violations were bad enough, but 'hate speech' feels like being accused of a crime. And it just so happens that I've sent them numerous emails pleading with them to 'please read the question'. I even alerted them that obviously a 'stalker' was doing this (I got a pile of violations this week). But no answer to ANYTHING.
Ya know they BRAG to their 'potential advertisers' that there have been 65 million questions asked, but I wonder what a 'potential advertiser' would think if they knew the TRUTH.

Thanks for letting me vent!

Anyone's free to email me with suggestions on how to get Yahoo to LISTEN and READ.

It has been my experience that Yahoo does not respond to inquiries about their actions.
They claim that before you are reported, a Yahoo representative reviews the answer or question - if these alleged representatives can read, this is simply not true.
I have had two answers reported for reasons totally unrelated to the answers.
Go figure.

If a question is inappropriate then it will be deleted.
I think there is a help section or maybe this Community Guidelines on the left might tell you something regarding deleted questions.

I heard they don't explain if they delete your whole account too. And I have been warned. However, I asked for what reason and have heard nothing yet. Just someone reported me, so what? I would like to know what was reported and why it was bad enough to close my account.

Further, if someone makes a complaint, you are guilty- they do not even bother to check it
And dont bother writing to them to inquire about it- they do not respond
I have come to the conclusion that neocons can do what they want on here and get away with it!

yahoo is gay and they will delete an account for almost anything. i was really high up on points in "answers" but they trashed my old account. i think whenever some loser disagrees with an answer they report it, and after so many reports, yahoo just deletes you. to conclude, they suck.

They haven't deleted any of my questions. Of course this may be due to the fact that I haven't posted any. They are a huge bureaucracy & therefore not very responsive.

I've decided it must be a computer error. Innocent questions are deleted and dangerous, slanderous questions are permitted.

sometimes the only answer for a stupid head is a clenched fist, I'd imagine they can't punch you through the computer so why argue with a dunce?

slap yourself in the face and consider that thier second answer.
