To really help, I'd need to know a few things:
1. Did the computer ever print with this printer before?
2. Is this a new printer on the computer?
3. Did you install the printer driver, or did Windows do so automatically, or neither?
4. Is the printer properly connected, with a USB or parallel cable?
5. Is the printer working properly?
a. is the power light on?
b. are the ink cartriges properly installed, and do they have ink?
c. is the paper loaded properly?
d. is the printer online?
6. Does the printer show up in your printers and faxes folder?
With this information, it will be much easier to tell you what exactly is wrong.

First, check if the printer is plugged in already (both the power and the data cable) to the computer.then also check if the printer drivers is already installed.check from the control panel if the printer is installed and is online and set as default printer. from there you can discern right away wether the it is installed or not. right click and check the property, test print to check if it's working.also check the ink level and so on.

Check the system print output and your printer input. If this does not workout then check your system IP adress for your printer whether it clash with other IP.
