somehow my files are not showin up and I dont know what happened to them.

Your files may have been deleted some how. You can try a program called "Restoration" It is a file recovery program.
You can download it from my site at http://ChuckBaker.org
Run the program. Point it to your thumb drive and see if anything shows up.

Go to the My Computer icon click on it and make sure your computer is reading it. It should show up as Removable disk or something that you would recognize. If it's not there you might have to go through the install new hardware wizard. It's not a big prosess
You can do it. Just go to add new hareware. Or you might not of rebooted after the computer found it. Sometimes thats all it takes is a reboot to read something new.

No way. once you erased or formated the drive you'll not be able to retrieve the files.
