We weren't married in a courthouse. We got married by an Imam and had two witnesses sign the certificate. We didn't do it USA way.

You would need to see the person who married you. The person should have filed the proper paperwork with the courts even if you were married in the Islamic way.

It should be on record at the courthouse. Do you know where teh courthouse is located in your country? If so, go there and someone should be able to tell you what office to report to to get a copy of your certificate.

Go to the courthouse in the county that you were married in; give them your names and the date of your marriage. They should be able to pull up your records and for a small fee they will give you a notarized copy of the record

If you are in the UK you would need to contact the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Your local authority should be able to advise you on where to find this.
