I dont think both parties beleive the same things. I do beleive that all politicians are crooked and evil. Only looking out for themselves. I beleive we need to elect a bunch of farmers, teachers, machine operators and doctors. No lawyers as they are just as bad as politicians. Only allow them to serve 2 terms then make them go get a real job.

There are individual tendancies to take advantage of opportunities regarding position, personal monetary gain and benefits by association. Yes, both parties do, but I also think the Republican party is more pro-active in maintaining the Status Quo. It is a belief and business as usual attitude that recreates their agenda to control the win lose situation. Liberal Democrats believe balance and abudance is there for everyone. So they think win-win. Unfortunately Republicans see it as losing their edge.

It can be--if you only listen to one side and don't educate yourself on the other. both sides leave out small, but important details which may sway you in the opposite direction.
