I heard that Howie Mandel has a germ phobia and if you notice he doesn't shake anyones hand on the show. Do you think the contestants are told not to touch him before going on the show?

Yes he does have an obsessive compulsive disorder. He showed pictures one time of him and his daughter on an airplane and they both were wearing surgical type masks. Donald Trump has the same phobia as did Howard Hughes, the late billionaire.

I think the producers or someone probably tells them that he doesn;t shake hands or anything...You have to go to an audition to be on the show and Im sure they cover stuff like that....Im always watching closly though to see if anyone ever tries shaking his hand...lol

Yeah, I don't think it's any big secret that he doesn't shake hands. Nobody seems surprised by the fist tapping, so they must be prepped in advance.
