The liberals, when ever something is said that they deem as racist, cry "Hate speech!". But when they get questioned for the stupid things they say, such as, "Bush is a nazi," they say they have freedom of speech. Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

I have already had two questions that accused me of being a conservative, that really isn't the question, I guess that shows the divide that the two tier political system has done to america, "you're either with us or against us". At least in Canada you can vote for more than two parties. Not that I'm going to live in this hippie/communist breeding ground called Canada much longer.

there is an exceedingly slippery slope right here such that if the arbiter of what's termed "hate speech" is in simple terms using this large capability to silence the voice and concept-approximately people who in simple terms disagree, this could nicely be a bad freedom that few people might willingly area with in the event that they understood its ramifications. Speech is in simple terms the verbalization of 1's recommendations so because it quite is why the two are used extraordinarily much interchangeably in this context. For those tens of millions who go through by way of fact they have a sensitivity to gluten-containing products, it is a great deal offensive to grant us cake that could reason us large discomfort and ailment.

You're right, it is hypocritical. But you can't generalize by saying that all liberals are like that, just like liberals can't generalize about republicans. I fully support free speech when it is free of generalization and said with respect, even if it is an insult (a valid one).

I'm really offended by the comment about diversity, and of course liberals (at the risk of generalizing) still want diversity if the minority is republican! Part of diversity is diversity of opinion. The hypocracy one was true for some liberals, but the diversity comment is just rude.

I think they still want freedom of speech even if it's racist. Not sure, but if your right then it's probably politics. Republicans are more likely to be racist and say stupid things then the dems. It'll hurt them more. Don't think they are necessarily against "hate speech" though..

Yes. It is. Hypocritical Statements is on Page One of the "How To Be A Lib" guidebook. It's followed up by Adding diversity to the USA is good unless the minority represented calls him/herself a Republican. Then, they are an Uncle Tom, or a House Slave (or whatever is ok for Libs to say).

Its the same for the CONS ... "Bush is a nazi" is not hate speech. Thats an opinion. A silly inaccurate opinion. Bush is too stupid to be a nazi. That may be fact as well as opinion. Who knows perhaps the Repukes have an "in" on that one too?

Because they only want to hear themselves. Anyone that disagrees is shouted down. They have already twisted laws against discrimination into quotas They are the sort of George Orwell wrote about.

It's the "Do as I say, not as I do." mentality. As individuals, we have all been guilty of this at some point. But I have to agree that Liberals (as a group) tend to do it more often than the majority of people (as individuals). And yes, this is absolutely hypocritical behavior.

BINGO!

But libs don't really support freedom of speech. Not for everyone. Just for themselves. The rest of us are expected to get out of their way, or else we are "insensitive."
