Is this supposed to be symbolic of Hulk being like Jesus Christ for this planet or does his blood do something like sciemtifically healing it with what's inside his blood?

Not certain, but if it's anything like the battleword that the Thing was stuck on after Secret Wars I, it's linked to his subconscious mind. Hulk has never been used as a Christ-like character, afaik.

If you recall, She Hulk was made when Bruce banner gave his cousin Jennifer Walters a blood transfusion. His blood is mildly radioactive, just the way Spider Man's is supposed to be (or was before they altered the origin to make it a genetically modified spider, instead.)

So Hulk's blood has been shown to have weird effect, before. But I doubt very much that they are going to make him into a savior-type character. On the other hand, it would be so cool for Bruce to finally give up his rage and be able to stop turning into the Hulk...! If he was able to lay down his life for his friends... for his enemies, even, it would mean that he really forgave them at last. And Bruce would finally be free of the curse.

But that would mean that Stan Lee would have to give up one of his big money-making charactrers... so I don't think it is going to happen anytime soon. When was the last time YOU ever saw a comic book hero retire and live happily ever after...?
