I am trying to talk to the ghost in my house. Is there a way I can? I have a ouija board but can't seem to get anyone to do it with me. Can I do it alone? I just want to know if it is aomeone in my family. My house was built about a hundred years ago by my great grandfather and his father. Just very curios and interested.

Okay then if there is a scientific explanation for everything, how do explain that my glass of milk at dinner one night, rose up in front of me real slow and then set itself back down again. The only other person in the room with me was my 7 month old son. Explain that scientifically!!!

You need more than one person. What you do is hold what's called a seance. You must all join hands, and someone must say "Is there anyone here who wishes to speak with us?" or something like that. Now, if you have a Quija board, the thingy that moves around (sorry if that makes me sound unprofessional, but I really am) may move to "yes" if there is someone there. Then, you can optionally ask them questions. The ghost may then spell out the answer with the Ouija board. If the ghost doesn't respond to anything, try to taunt it by saying things like "Come on, you coward!" or something like that. But overall, you need to try to act peaceful with the spirit.

You don't need anyone to do it with you. Though you shouldn't play with it. You open the door to the otherworld and you don't know who you'll be talking to. It could be the ghost in your house or it could be something else. Something more dangerous.

There are other, less dangerous ways of talking to your ghost (or rather getting a reply from him that you can understand). Ways that will only contact the ghost within your house.

Personally, I suggest the computer method.

By that I mean... talk to your ghost. He can hear you even if you can't hear him. It takes alot of energy for ghosts to do things like move things. But since yours has already done so, he'll probably be able to do it again.

Ask it questions and then tell it you'll leave the computer on overnight. Tell it that, if there's anything he wants to say to you, he should type it on the keyboard overnight. That will give him enough time to muster he energy.

Hopefully, you'll get a reply. Just keep in mind that it doesn't always work.

I tried it when my mother died. All night long, I was hearing the sound of the keyboard keys. Even when I walked past the living room (but not into it) to go to the bathroom.

Yet, when I came out to look at the computer, there was nothing there. Though the cursor was down two rows from where I had it the night before.

As to your family building it, the ghost may be a family member attached to the house. It may not. Or it may be that the land itself is haunted.

People forget that it's not just buildings that can be haunted.

Good luck. Love to know how it turns out.

The ghost is obviously not trying to harm you or your son. A ouija board can be done alone, but I don't find them to be much help. You can address the ghost directly (talking out loud is not necessary and may scare your son). Let him/her know you see them and ask why they are there. In time it will be very clear why the ghost has come to you. I would tell you that several ghosts (not demons, people) came to me and wanted to tell their granddaughter something. I had such a headache from all of their speaking at once - in Pennsylvania Dutch - I hadn't even heard of there being a language like that, that I went to get medicine. They followed me to the kitchen and I was furious. I stomped a foot and yelled, "IN ENGLISH PLEASE!!!" I still feel bad for that, they didn't realize they were speaking a language I had to write phonetically to their granddaughter (who finds the whole story funny, by the way, and was thankful for my help). I will also tell you this, the ability to see ghosts is passed through bloodlines, so your mother (probably) can help you with this as she will have had more practice - unless she has denied the ability her entire life. Good luck and drink your milk!

ouija boards are fake. Basically one person moves his hand slowly and the other person is scared its just something you get a kick out of.

What is quite funny is on the first page of this site (yahoo) it has a article that says how ghosts can not be real. This is due to Newton's law that every action has a equal and opposite reaction. If a ghost is matterless it can not move but if it isn't, it isn't a ghost.

It is mostly your mind playing tricks on you, most of the time it is either that yo do not wish there to be a presence in your house or you do.

Also don't try going to those john edward type people, they are scammers I bought a book and found out how to do that stuff in about an hour.

A ghost is not a dead man. There are spirits in the world that have been around since the beginning of this earth age. They know every thing about everyone that has existed - up to this exact moment in time. They have the ability to mimick, in order to fool & trick you into believing that dead humans can be contacted & communicated with. They will try to give advice & tell the future. But they don't have knowledge of the future, just the present & the past. Their goal is to influence humans so that they don't seek God and His wisdom for their life.

Here is what you do.Lit a candle and turn off the lights. Then sit infront of it and ask the ghost to come. When it appears ask him who he/she is and then ask him/her very POLITELY to watch over you and your family. What ever you do don't yell at it and don't tell it to go away. If it's a bad ghost i suggest that you either move out of the house or do a ritual to make itleave but the ritual may not work. I'll give you the ritual but i don't know will it work. Here it is. Lit a candle and go trough the holl house carrying the candle and chanting this-all bad spirits go away may only the good souls stay- the return to the spot where you lit the candle and ask the good spirits to watch over you and your family. Then blow out the candle. Best of luck!

You should not use the ouija board, see if you can get someone who is an expert at speaking with the passed on to help you. This is something you should not do by your self. It is a dangerous thing. Just get a preist to tell you who they think is a good person to help you.

Be careful.

Get a handheld tape recorder and a cassette tape. Press record and begin asking the ghost questions. Be sure to allow several seconds for him/her to answer. When you have finished your session, rewind the tape and listen to it at full volume (at least during the parts where you allowed time for an answer). If you got an answer, it will come through on the tape.

No Ouija board.

You have to find as much info on the ghost who has died, and there are specific dates, Halloween being one, where ghost are more present.

Most won't 'talk', but you can use candles for yes or no communication

Be tough and make your demands to the ghost such as to leave or to show itself. Do not use the Ouija bored or you will be screwed. I mean screwed as in evil demon screwed. Seriously I know people who have used them and had gotten serious injuries or had to sell there house due to paranormal activity.
