Who are on the sex offender registry can not decorate their yards to attract kids for Halloween, can not give out candy, and have to be home by 5pm on Halloween. I think this is a wonderful idea. Is it the same where you live too?

yes, I don't know about the 5pm thing. But the rest is the same. BUT I hope this doesn't give to much of a safe feeling to parents, these are just the ones that have been caught...

Watch your kids, go with them don't send them out alone..

BE SAFE!

what state are you in?
I'm not sure what the law is in MA, but it's always a good idea to check the Sex Offender Registry website to make sure you don't end up knocking on those doors for Halloween or any other reason - say selling girlscout cookies or food drives etc.
Play it safe, don't let your kids out alone.

this is the problem I have with it. Sex offenders and child molesters are not the same thing but they all get treated as such, so it really discrimnates against someone who is a registered sex offender but did not molest a child to be put on the list.
