Well I want to go to school in a Halloween costume. I want to be something funny but not too embarrassing.... Something easy to make..... but doesn't look cheap.. For someone 13..... I don't want to be like a disney princess. Not anything "hot or sexy" cause my mom wouldnt approve but something someone would laugh at but wouldn't like totally embarrass me.....

You could go as a bumble bee. Just find a shirt that is all yellow and some how make black strips through the shirt. Then stuff it with some pillows to give the effect and to make the wings, just find what you have around the house or just paint them on the back unless you have some other kind of wings. The with the antinas what ever they are called just make some out of wire and decorte them and put them on a head band that you may have. Make sure that you have black pants so that it will give the full affect. That is a great costume it is cute but funny at the same time.

Last year I saw on the Martha Stewart show how they made a witches costume from black garbage bags and duct tape.
you need the drawstring bags. one they cut a slit in the area under the drawstrings so it was a bit longer and they cut ,in a zig zag, the bottom part of the bag off, that part is used for another part of the costume.
this one is for the top half of the costume. It is put on like a tube top with the drawstrings as the shoulder straps. pull and tie to fit.
don't worry about the strings coz they get covered later.
then another bag is cut to be the skirt, zig zag like the first and that is tied around the waist. Duct tape as much as needed to keep the top and bottom together.
they also cut a third bag in half to be the sleeves...they used duct tape to hold things in place. Just tape the sleves to the top.
the cut off parts are used to make the cape and they pulled on the zig zag points to stretch them.(also did on skirt)
It was pretty cool and waterproof but you may need scissors to cut the costume off when done.
I hope I explained enough for you to figure out how to do it.
a half dozen bags and tape are cheap especially if you already have them around
where you cut the zig zag depends on your size.
the sleeves bag is cut down the sides so one half the drawstring can be each sleve gather at the neck...
cut and fit the dress to size.
just add a hat and your good to go.

I think you should be a really cute like teenage type princess, an angel, a fairy, a preppy type school girl, but these are just suggestions :) Have fun and be whatever you want to be.

attach loose book pages to a red, white & blue outfit - you're a Congressional page..
dress in blue, cut out fish & sea creatures & pin on - you're the ocean...
dress in gray with cotten balls in your hair. you're a rain cloud

you could be a dead soccer player or cheerleader, if you have any kind of uniform, like a soccer uniform or cheerleading, wear the uniform and paint stitches on your face and body using face paint or eyeliner
