I feel your pain. I too am in the same situation and it didn't take 33 years. The only four fights couples have is; money, sex, kids, in-laws. Money doesn't make you happy its just convienent, I would hope after 33 years kids are gone, and most likely the in-laws are too old to argue over. Sex is a huge part of marriage. Lets face it, why did you fall for your spouse? Attraction! Most times when sex leaves a marriage there are more underlying causes than hormones or age. Women are very emotional and men are physical. If you are the male and I suspect you are, than try listening to your wife, communicate, romance, do something special on a none special day( ie; birthday). Tell your spouse how good they look, or how much you appreciate them. It won't change overnight, it took 33 years to go bad. It can be fixed.

Variety is the spice of life! The same ole routine gets boring for everyone. Check out some books on the subject like
How to Have Magnificent Sex: The 7 Dimensions of a Vital Sexual Connection by Lana Md Holstein
Sacred Sex: A Spiritual Celebration of Oneness in Marriage by Tim Alan Gardner and Scott M. Stanley
The Sex-Starved Marriage: Boosting Your Marriage Libido: A Couple's Guide by Michele Weiner Davis
Resurrecting Sex: Solving Sexual Problems and Revolutionizing Your Relationship by David Schnarch and James Maddock
Passionate Marriage: Love, Sex, and Intimacy in Emotionally Committed Relationships by David Schnarch
Your local libray may have some of these or able to borrow from another library. Good luck!

I sympathies with you. I have been married 38 years and our s_x life has been gone for 8 years. We sleep under the same roof, but not in the same room.
I do not know about you but my wife says she can live without it. She should know by now that I will eventually go out and find some, but she tells me bring the check home that is all I need.
I am thinking about it again, but have not got the nerves to do it yet. Time will tell.

Sex is important, but not the root of a relationship or marriage.
If you have a good life together and get along without alot of arguing..then what's to complain about..Buy a sex toy then and get off....Or just surprise your spouse one day when they come home..something unexpected and rock the boat..Sometimes ya gotta spice it up a lil in an unexpecting way....

You need to discuss this as a couple and find out why your sex life is gone. Perhaps you just need to have a romantic night for two and rekindle the spark.
Maybe you just don't need the sex in your marriage.
Take care,
Troy
