Obsessive Compulsive Personality is found most often in males. This is found in varying degrees in all sorts of people, but males have it more than females.

This is what makes it impossible for somebody to focus on several things at the same time.
On the other side... the inability to focus on one thing at a time, but finding your mind fragmented and not being able to shut out all kinds of other things, that's called ADD or attention deficit. A surprising number of women have that and don't realize it.
But it comes in handy when a person runs a household, because of the multi-faceted nature of the job.

Women are superior in this regard, I guess because men got the brute strength. I recently saw something about this on tv, a woman's brain has more active pathways or something.
Yeah, it leads to interesting things in a marriage. My husband figures if he's put in a load of clothes into the washer, that's a job. Well, the machine is doing the job! I can get supper together, help my son with homework, and do two or three other things during that half hour. Mind you, this is why women have more stress than men, as well.

That's a myth. Men are just lazy (I'm a middle aged man). This is the same as saying women pay more attention to detail than men (you believe that too?).
Thirty years ago, it was said a black quarterback can't make it into the NFL, women can't run marathons, orientals are smart (we only see the top 5% of 1.5 billion people), etc. If I believed all that, I would not have gone from shoveling horse manure in Idaho as a kid to becoming a manager in a major pharmaceutical company in the Northeast.
Don't fall for that social castration and learn to multi-task. Do some exercises like working a cross word puzzle while watching the news, talk with your buddy on your phone while doing some simple math problems. You'll get better.
You see all those guys driving to work with a cell phone in their ear, laptop in the passenger seat drinking coffee - most of them make it to work without crashing into the rest of us.

Women multi-task because they find it impossible to give their full concentration to a single job, 20% focused here, 40% there, 10% on planning and 30% working out the plot lines on Eastenders. However men are able to focus 100% on whatever task it is they are doing. Simple really.

No, women don't multi-task, they just can't stop talking while doing the stuff they should be doing, no-one can truly multitask, I am sat here answering this, but I am also trying get my wireless network to work and I'm also fixing a laptop, but I can't do two of them at the same time, I just cycle through them, same with women, you can't prepare food while feeding your son at the very same time, but while you are doing these tasks in turn, you are just gabbing on the phone. And no, you aren't masterful at it either, you are prone to mistakes as you are not concentrating. The woman in the car in front is gabbing to her passenger, and we're all stuck at the lights because she hasn't notice them change, that is not multi tasking!

Women have to multi task as you call it. I call it having to because men can only do one thing at one time. But have to say, when a man gets to grips with a task, he does it well. My ex spent hours longer than I would ironing, but immaculate. Women do not have the time to get into every detail, our brains work faster than the male brain.

Because men and women use different parts of their brains to think. That also explains why men are supposedly better with gadgets and women are supposedly better in the arts.

because men give full attention to the task, making sure it is done right, rather than a jack of all trades and master of none.
