NBC is in the news business. The White house is in the governing business. Why would you expect them to have devoted the same resources to archive and catalog such things? I would prefer the people in the White house were placing their focus on making improvements for our country.
We all know that Bush wants to finish the job in Iraq. Are you saying that he has changed his mind and doesn't want to finish the job any more? If so, I think you are getting the wrong impression.
It sounds to me like he is trying to clarify some things. One definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over expecting different results. I think he is trying to make sure people understand that we aren't just repeating the same mistakes over and over.
