Many fans of Hollywood celebrity's look upon them with envious eyes. If, for example, a person might think a certain movie star has the perfect body it's possible that such an insight might cause an eating disorder. Take for example a person with a very low self-esteem. It would be plausible for them to feel the need to lose a large amount of weight in a very short time.

Ordinary people (like us) look up to these celebrities and whatever they do, we follow. When they become skinny, we want to be skinny as well. People start to develop eating disorders because they want to lose a large amount of weight to look like these celebrities.
Well, your last sentence was a bit too long, and I really wouldn't add the part about exercise being too hard. The above paragraph states what I think you should say.

For whatever reason, we look up to these celebrities. Whatever they do, we follow. When they are skinny, we want to be skinny as well. Exercise is too difficult for many people, so we look for short cuts to achieve the 'celebrity' look, and this leads to the development of eating disorders as we attempt to lose large amounts of weight in a short period.

The General Public will often try to emulate their celebrity idols. The media present the celebrity lifestyle as something to aspire to, and as a result, many people will try to conform by implementing regimented eating routines in order to mirror the “body beautiful”.
Whilst it is difficult for most people to emulate celebrities financially, for some, drastic dietary changes can provide a way to attain a semblance of similarity between a person and the focus of their “thinspiration”. Unfortunately, this can and does lead some individuals to develop eating disorders in their pursuit of this perceived perfection.

For the most part, it looks good. I would just change the first sentence to: Ordinary people look up to celebrities. Whatever they do, we follow. Add: in a short period of time. Good luck!

One of these disorders, anorexia nervosa, is a life-threatening condition of self-imposed starvation, and has reached epidemic proportions spanning all age groups of both sexes. Nowadays, it's not only girls and women who suffer from anorexia. Studies suggest that five to ten percent of people with anorexia or bulimia are males. Victims who suffer from anorexia develop dangerous and sometimes permanent body damage such as liver damage, menstrual problems, dizziness, fainting, heart problems, baldness, and pancreatitis. Some develop malnutrition, a condition in which the body doesn't get the nutrients it needs to grow and function properly. They may also develop shrunken organs or suffer from bone loss, low body temperature, low blood pressure, and a slowed metabolism. Other people with anorexia develop an irregular heartbeat which could lead to cardiac arrest and much more.

Ok just make sure that you keep your voice as the writer...but I would suggest reworking the first sentance so that you take out "like us." I would also not say that "exercise is too diificult," people have many reasons for eating disorders and they are more psychological than laziness.

A study carried out at the university of St. Andrews, Scotland, found that women who were judged to be attractive tended to have higher levels of oestrogen in their urine than women who were not judged to be attractive. Such features as large eyes and full lips do seem to be linked to higher levels of the female hormone and higher fertility.
1. Do we really need more reasons for people to uphold unfair standards of beauty?
2. Who decided what was "judged to be" attractive? (attractiveness is culturally mediated and not to mention totally distorted by hegemonic notions of beauty)
3. Why did someone decide to do this study? To justify men being superficial in picking partners?
