I wear the K Swiss 7.0 Ascender shoe. I weigh about 220 , which is a bit stocky for a tennis player. I find them very comfortable, my arches never bother me and they are durable. They run around 90 dollars retail, but I am sure with a bit of effort you can find them for less in the back of world tennis magazine. OOPS, I just reread your question again , and you are interested in New Balance. I am sorry to say that I have never worn nor carry New Balance in any of our pro shops. My expertise is limited more towards Nike , Adidas, K Swiss and Reebok.
Remember this , shoes are like rackets. What may fell great to one guy or gal may feel great to them , but horrible to you. I know you cannot demo shoes, but I think you may have to try a few pairs to find the perfect fit (forgive the pun) and my advice is when you find the one you like, buy 5 to ten pairs because shoes are like rackets. They change them up every season and you may have a heck of a time finding the pair you like and will have to start the same process all over again.
