I have a few guitars and a couple of amps that take up space in the house so I'm wondering if there's a cupboard (available in the UK) that has some sort of temp and humidity control that is alright to leave in a garage. Other suggestions gratefully received.

You can try a handy little thing available from hunting / shooting supply shops - they are small packets of crystals that absorb humidity, prevent corrosion and keep your goodies safe. (a bit like a larger version of the silica gel packs you get in packaging of electrical items)

They are sold for use in gun cabinets to protect them but should work fine if your gear is enclosed in a cupboard / storage box.

I think you can get them or request them from www.attacc.com
