Poor baby. My daughter had a horrible time with teething too. I used crushed ice wrapped in a soft washcloth for her to suck on. Also, Boiron makes a really effective and safe homeopathic remedy called Camellia that my daughter responded well to. At her age, I think the pediatricians prefer infant Tylenol over infant motrin, but ask your doctor. The motrin lasts 8 hours and was more effective with my daughter.

From my own experience I suggest Hyland teething tablets. They are very effective in soothing your baby. They contain no medicines, they are all natural ,so you can use them at any age and as often as needed. I would give them to my daughter when she became very fussy from teething, and almost instantly she would calm down and usually fall asleep. I would also suggest putting a damp wash cloth in freezer until frozen. Then let her chew on it. It will soothe her gums and catch the drool.. Good Luck!

The only thing that really helped me was a pacifier for my son. i bought him a Playtex teething pacifier and he loved it, but now I have to wean him from the pacifers. With the doctors ok first, you may try some Mortrin for your baby if you can't take it anymore. It's suppost to work longer then the Tylonel. Wish you all the best right now.

I hate it when the first teeth start coming in!!! I always kept baby oragel in her mouth, gave her the teething toys that you put in the refrigerator, and I also crunched up some ice and put it in a wash cloth and let her chew on that. She loved it!!! I also gave her Tylenol and Motrin. Tylenol every 6 hours and Motrin every 4 hours. Poore baby and good luck!!!

Here are some things that have worked for my son, in order of what worked best:

1. Baby Motrin (with doctor's okay)
2. Baby Orajel rubbed on his gums (use a TINY, TINY amount for babies under 4 months)
3. sucking on a cool, wet washcloth
4. sucking/chewing on my finger
5. chewing on any soft, flexible plastic toy
6. chewing on teethers that were stored in the refrigerator

hello, i am in the same boat with my little guy. I use teething tablets and tylenol they seem to help quite a bit. you can get the tablets at WalMart. they are about 5 $ a bottle and sooo worth it.
Hang in there. it will pass by sooner than you think.

Put some whiskey on your finger and rub her gums with it. Give her a wet frozen washcloth to chew on.
Ask your doc about a dose for infant Tylenol.

Good Luck
