I don't mind it. I don't particularly like all the visits you have to make when you have to get root canals, temporary crowns, then the permanent crowns, then the permanent crown breaks then you wind up going a couple of more times. That is annoying when you have to find time to take off work. Other than that, the dentist is fine. :)

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
They always want to do loads of work in my mouth and once I go, I don't get away from appointments for about three months!
I don't like it when their anesthetic doesn't work on me either- I had one dentist that managed to freeze the whole of the left side of my face except for my gum, and it hurt when she started poking nerves! (And then she told me I was feeling the pressure from her work. She gave me another injection just to keep me quiet and was surprised when I nearly jumped out of the chair- her words were 'Oh, you were right, you weren't numb, otherwise you wouldn't have felt that'...Oh really?!)
So, no. I don't like going to the dentist.
BUT
I couldn't help laughing when I went once, my brother had shown me a DVD by Bill Bailey where he is talking about dentists and the strange language they use- all those numbers and codes and stuff. Like, they will talk to you normally, but turn to their assistant and say two, the two's a six, four is fine, the three,the fives a mandible'...Bill likes to answer them by saying 'The pheasant has no agenda. Wow, I had to try hard not to laugh when I heard the dentist going through his spiel!

I hate going to the dentist mainly because my dentist and dental hygenists always try to carry on a conversation with me and everytime I want to say something I can't or if I try I look ridculous trying to talk.

I would rather give birth than go to the dentist. Just thinking about him poking and prodding and worst of all drilling makes me nervous

No not at all. They have to give me gas even if they are just cleaning my teeth. I'm such a baby when it comes to going to the dentist.

I HATE the dentist. All those sharp, poky things in my mouth, the needles, the drill, the smell! Oh dear God, the smell!
Not to mention the huge dental bills!!

Yes. I love how clean my teeth feel. I love that I get gifts when I leave, like new toothbrushes, floss, and cute magnets for my fridge. I have pretty good teeth, so it's not a bad experience.
