Do you think people who wear glasses are geeks?

Think of how many people you can that do and then ask yourself are they Geeks or stupid or whatever else silly minded people call them.

Of course the answer is NO for every Geek (whatever that means) there is a highly intelligent, respected person somewhere.

A lot of people in my family wear glasses. Geeks No unless you count a Computer Nerd but he'd be that without the glasses!

Oh and Yes I have his full permission to call him NERD!

Ask them who in their family wears glasses and most people could name someone especially an elderly relative then ask them if they are Geeks too!

You prove they are wrong because they cant call their OWN family geeks usually!

Definitely not! Glasses are cool. geeks=glasses is such a common stereotype. I think that sometimes glasses on a guy look hot. I guess it really depends on what personality people have, but as a glasses wearer I wouldn't like people to automatically think "oh she wears glasses so she must be geek!". labelling people is uncool. :) hope this helps~

To be honest I couldn't be bothered to read all of the answers already put down, but I need glasses and choose to wear contact lenses. Also people now have laser surgery to correct their vision. I'm not saying that glasses ARE geeky, but some people just suit glasses better than others. As long as you are comfortable with yourself who gives a fcuk what anyone else thinks?

No, definitely not. People who are wear glasses are not geeks!! I think a lot of people look beautiful with glasses, it sometimes makes them look smarter too, intelligent. I wear glasses to see far and I like 'em. People say they look good on me, not geeky at all!!

I probably did when I was a kid, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. They have really stylish glasses for everyone now, even kids. I only need my glasses for distance, so I never got into contacts but, sometimes, I feel more put together with my glasses, esp. sunglasses, on. Make the most of it and carry it off with style.

Glasses have become pretty trendy actually, and many places are selling "glasses" in which the frames have non-prescription lenses (bascically it's like looking out a window) to cater to the growing trend. People may still have some sort of stigma about them, but that opinion is getting smaller and smaller all the time.

i wear glasses and im not considered a geek by anyone. people did look at me different though as if id become mor....sensible(so not true) lol i dont think anyone who wears glasses are geeks and the word 'geek' is really for people who wish they were that smart its a really ..... messed up word to use.

As you can see from my avator I wear glasses. I don't think I'm a geek...and I know plenty of popular and attractive people who wear glasses.

Sure they make you look smarter...but when you take it off...people are always saying...WOW! you actually have a nice face...

So next time someone tell you that...tell them its a way of good looking people to be modest...

No, not at all. They make some pretty stylish glasses now. I used to hate them and wore contacts everyday of the year. But, now I have some really cute glasses and I sometimes wear them.
