my son as asked for a video now toy for christmas
could you tell me if they are any good and where i can buy extra disc for them

yes there good my brother has one i gave it to him it really great for traveling too thery are 29.99 at wallmart and so are disc for on in pack 5.00 two in pack 9.88

My Daughter has a Video Now. She is 6
It was bought for her in 2005 as a Christmas Gift.
I would not endorse it.
It encourages child to watch more tv.
Range of discs available is very limited.
Does not play regular CD/DVD.
If you are really considering something of this nature you would be better off investing in a poratble DVD player.

I think they are great for road trips. I bought one from Amazon.com and it had problems. I contacted Hasbro and they sent me a postage paid slip to return it and they sent me a new one!! They were very nice and great to work with. I would highly recommend it, the new one works great!
You can get the pvd's at any toy store or walmart type stores!

personally i don't like them. do you really want your child to watch TV 24/7.
hey lets go to the store. *watches tv*
hey time for bed *use flashlight to watch tv*
breakfast time *uses other hand to hold the device to watch tv*
you might as well just get a video ipod and download whatever shows he wants to watch on it, instead of buying a new CD every other week
