I wrote my college essay on Wednesday (I MUST mail it tomorrow) and then saved it on my computer. I KNOW I saved it as a word document. I went back to print it today, and it's gone. The only version I could find is an older version before I had people proof-read it. I am so angry. I have been searching through the files on my computer for the past couple of hours and I can't find it. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to retrieve it.

The previous answer, to use Search was right. To add a little more, when you get to Search, it has some options to search for the word document that was modified within the Past Week. Just type *.doc the search block since apparently you aren't sure of the name of the file. *.doc is called a "wild card," and will list all word documents. Best of luck

Use "Search", and search for the file by name or extension
