the sidekick 2 does not support backgrounds...this is because of the way the Jump screen is designed. you can however go to your Key Guard settings and select an image that will pop-up when the device is locked, and that image has to be in your picture gallery, so unless you have Picture Transfer, you can't email yourself something and use it. that's the only way the sidekick will use an image as a "background" and even then, the screen is turned off so no one can really see it.
