For question 1, I'm not sure because I don't know if you are multiplying, dividing or what. 7/3 is a fraction, in it's standard form it is 2, 3 as the denominator and 1 as the numberator. Looks like this

2 1
3

That's two as a whole. I don't know what that looks like in ratio form.

Question 3. 180 to 150 has to be reduced some, so divide 30. You get 90 and 5. Divide by 5, you get 45 and 1.

45
1

Question 4, I will attempt.

240
6

120
3

40
1

Question 5, although I want you to check your Math book to learn if this is correct.

5 20
4.75 19.92

5 x 19.92 = 99.60

20 x 4.75 = 95

Based on the cross multiplication I did, I would say 20 lbs as 20 lbs is a lesser number. Keep in mind, I'm not good at Math, so please check with your book.

rewrite as improper 18/5 :21/10
that is 18/5 divided by 21/10
which is 18/5 *10/21
which is 6/1 *2/7
which is 12/7 so 12:7

7 dimes is 70cents 3 quarters is 75 cents
so 70:75 which is 70/75 which is 14/15

3 hour is 3*60 minutes so 180 min:150 min
180/150=18/15=6/5 so 6:5

# 4 doesn't make any sense unless you are doing unit rate which would be 240pound for 6 lawns or 40 pounds per lawn

compare $ per pound ---4.75/5 is .95 per pound and 19.92/20 is .996 per pound
so $4.75 for 5lbs is better

1. 56:21
2. is a dime 10c? Sorry, not from the US. If it is then 70:75 which is 14:15
3. 6:5
4 240:6 which simplifies to 40:1
5. 5lb of sugar at $4.75 is 95c a lb. 20lb at $19.92 is 99.6 cents a lb, so 5lb at $4.75 is the better buy.
