They are not allowed to vote or to own firearms. I think they should be allowed to vote. I don't know what other rights you mean.

No, they loose their VOTING rights.

Unfortunately you need to MOVE from Florida to a state that does not strip you of that right.

I'm sure the ACLU has people working on fighting this infringement on civil rights as there were SO many who were put on inelligable voter lists who weren't even convicted of felonies in the 2000 elections.
The B*tch who's running for Senate who was the elections chairperson paid a company to write up these BOGUS lists, which contained an 85% error rate!

That happens in every state, at least it does in Arkansas, Mo, Oklahoma and a few others I know of. I think it depends on what they did and the age they did it. It is really hard to decide for me. I think once you have done your time forgiveness by the government should be part of the process of getting your life back. I have a son in jail so I am torn with this question.

if a person does their time,"Pays their debt to society" I think they should be given all their rights back.

Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

doesn't seem to mention anything about felons here

No, when you violate the rules of a society, you reject that society, and I feel that you should have to prove yourself in order to regain society's trust
