whats another free service where i can download and listen to music? I have been using Limewire but it always says "need more sources"-"waiting on sources" do i have something set wrong? I can get any song i want from work or at my b/f's house--but at home...NEED MORE SOURCES---aahhh anyone with suggestions?

well first you sould go on limewire and go to programs and download limewire pro and you wont have trouble and it depends on what connection you have and you sould download the song with the highest stars

When the "Need More Sources" error comes up it usually means that the download was interrupted or broken off, or even that the source shut off or they were booted off the Internet somehow. If you click on it then the program will try to find a copy of that exact file again, often it cannot. If that is the case then I will just run a new search for that same song.
People are connecting and unconnecting from the Limewire Network all the time so if you run the same search for a song then you might get a lot more sources only 15 minutes later, and many of them could be from different sources. People like to join the Limewire network download a few songs and then close their connection, so you just have to be patient. If it is a popular song someone else with that song in their library will log on again soon.
When I run a search for a song I like to run several downloads for the same song. Then if I get an error, or "Need More Sources" comes up I can rely on one of the other downloads to get the entire song. If you are downloading two songs with the exact file name then Limewire will add a number to the end of the file name automatically so the files can be kept separate. Therefore you can try to download as many copies of a song, even those with the same filename, as you want.
I have also had a problem with people that post only a fragment of a song or post a poor quality song. If I have multiple copies of the same song I can then listen to them and select the best one. Typically I will pick up 4-6 copies of the same song, and listen to each one. When I find a copy I like I toss the rest into the Recycler Bin (delete them).
Yes, this increases my download time a little, but you can search for multiple songs at the same time; so I can pick up a dozen different songs. I also like to pick up songs from a library that has a broadband connection. This makes the download time shorter and increases the chance that I will get the entire song.
Even with all of this I sometimes can't get a copy of the song I want. So I come back a day later at a different time and try again.
At work and at your boy friend's house you probably have a broadband connection which will make it quicker to download a song, thus giving you a better chance of gettting that song.
Just keep trying, eventually you will get it.

BEARSHARE use BEARSHARE i had the same problem that you had with the not enough sources. go 2 www.bearshare.com n download just like you did limewire with the free version. then when its downloaded type in the name of the song and when the results display read the names of the files and if its the song you want download it. also to the left of the song therell be a green bar, always download songs with the bar filled the highest b/c if u download 1 with a low bar it can take up to a day to download and sometimes but very rarely it will say not enough sources

I hate limewire! I thought it's good but it's not. U have to wait like an hour to download something and it's always AWAITING SOURCES. Don't use it. Just swich it to something else. I'm not sure which one is the best but limewire is a ****!

look for a more popular song... its just because no one else on limewire has that song so just leave it up and wait .. i think limewire is the best

I like Limewire... there's another service... same sort of thing... called Aquisition... I've never used it but i have friends (with Macs) that swear by it....

i use it all the time.i dont usually get "need more sources" unless im downloading from T1..I think the best type is T3 128 or something and mp3 format..wma doesnt always work.

Get Shareaza or eMule. Its way better than limewire!!!!! or kazaa.

just pick the songs u want that have numbers next to them...that's the sources...i use it and i like it...better than kazaa that's fo sho
