#2 is better. It is a lot classier. It looks like an evening/dance attire. It fits the occasion.
#1 looks like a sun dress to me which doesn't fit the occasion. Fluffy skirt will hide the hip movement and has a good chance of flying too high and making you uncomfortable.

Number too is more appropraite for being casual and really pretty. I say loosely curl your hair, spray some hairspray and you're good. Don't forget cute hoop earrings and a nice pair of heels and you'll look really good. Have fun!

I think #2 is prettier! i put a suggestion for you down there!.
Straighten your hair, were a nice shale, and were matching shoes. I love dances, we have ours nov 10, but at my school, we don't take it so so far, we dance with friends and have fun.
But I hope you have a great time, Feel happy and never shy. Dances are supposed to be for fun, not stand.
***You should see the 6th graders at my school, they all want to wear mini, mini skirts and dance all weird.

i like number 1 because its black and i just think it better. but are you sure this is a formal dance? most middle schools don't host formal dances and make sure your dress doesn't have to follow the dress code too. good luck and have fun

If you want to look really nice then #2, but if you want to look kind of casual than #1.

most middle school dances are VERY casual, I can almost garentee there will be people there in sweats....I like the first dress better
