for some reason whenever i go to my google homepage or log on onto my yahoo messenger its abnormaly big. now ive tried to go to control panel, display, then apearance. i went to the first drop box and set it to windows standard and still nothin happened. the only other windows options are windows large or x-tra large and no small. i would really like to know how to make my internet screen smaller cause its very frustrating having to scroll around to see everythin. if anyone is a computer wiz and can help me with this i would greatly appreciate it.

Right click on the desktop and goto "Properties". Click on the "Settings" Tab.

Look for the slider that says "Screen resolution." If it is anything less than 1024x768, and you have a relatively new monitor then bump it up to 1024x768, then click OK. Ignore the scary message windows throws up.

On an internet page... click the View tab and then select a smaller text size. If you have the new IE7 there is still another choice of size in the same place that will make the internet even larger..
You will probably need to change the size of Y messenger in the contact list. Go to... Messenger Tab. Preferences.. then look for the appropiate place.

Not a computer whiz, but have you tried going to "view" at the top of the internet screen & clicking "text size", & switching it to medium? That may not help at all, but maybe it will. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Try control panel, display, and then settings. Set the screen resolution to 1024x768. (You probably have it set to 640x480.)
