Do not question if its right or not. To quote the conversation between Luke and Yoda:
"How can I tell the light from the dark?"
"You will know, when you are calm, at peace."
And remember. Do, or do not. There is no try.

Fighting never is the answer unless it is in complete self defense. This is a typical "bully". Research has shown that bullies only form from being bullied. This could be either from parents or other class mates. This is a learned behavior. He feels bad about what happend to him and he is trying to cover it up by being tough. If this ever happens again dont fight hit him with words. Tell him that you feel really sorry for him that the only way he can make friends is by acting like an idiot. Tell him that its sad that he is so insecure about himself that he has to pick on other people to make him feel better. Believe me it will hurt his feelings. He wont bother your friend again. By fighting it can get you in trouble and it just makes everyone more mad. Nothing gets solved. If this doesn't work then I know it sounds dumb but you need to tell a teacher so this can get resolved.

I was always picked on in school, kids will never change. They will always be mean and say mean things to kids that are different. If I were you, I would just take your friend and get him out the the situation. If the bully comes after you and hits you first then it would be self defense but if you hit him first then you will be the one to be in trouble and this bully will continue to get away with murder. Bully's generally will not take the first step to hit someone they want the other person to throw the first punch so that they don't get the blame.

Just ignore them. It's one of those life lessons you learn. Most people won't take it too far if they know they can't get a reaction out of you.
However, if they start getting physical, you need to hit hard and make sure they don't get up. I mean really giving to them. No one can question your desire for self preservation.
But DON'T bring in other people the next day. If you're going to get into a fight, do it then and there. Waiting only makes you look bad.

Fighting is never the answer only the last resort. The next time this situation arises, you should get your friend as far away from this situation as possible. It takes a much bigger man/woman to walk away from a fight.

I would tell him he and his ugly friends need to back off and stay away unless he wants to get in trouble with you and your friends. I would CALMLY tell him this so he does not say some high schooler threatend him. But if he does, tell them what he and his freinds did. I would kick their butts but I could get or you could get in BIG trouble. Just tell him he needs to back off unless he wants trouble.
