We have sprint and love it, we have 4 phones and 2000 minutes and no roaming, and our bill is 125.00 , We have been with them for 5 years.

it all boils down to your coverage particular areas.

personally, i've found sprint to have better coverage than cingular in my area...not to mention that spting uses a CDMA network, similar to Verizon's, which will allow you to roam on thier network should sprint coverage be non-existant.

however, there are areas where cingular coverage is quite good and could out-do sprint.

here's my suggestion...it'll cost you a little extra, but it's an easy way of test-driving the service without dealing with contracts. both cingular and sprint offer pre-paid services, with sprint's prepaid service being run by Virgin Mobile. both have fairly cheap entry-level phones you can pick up for about $30 and use the prepaid service for a while to test network coverage in locations YOU actually use it..although providers anymore are offering test-drives.

having used both, i'd go sprint personally. I never had a service issue.

I would not choose either. I would choose T-Mobile. Cingular has terrible customer service, based on the service I received, over several years. I have not heard anything about Sprint, either way, but I have had T-Mobile for four months and think the customer service and plans are great.

DEFINITELY CINGULAR!!! i have cingular and it really does have the fewest dropped call. with me and my family, no dropped calls. there are so many options and there ALL awesome. don't listen to all the other stupid cell commericials where they say they're the best. my family has tried all the networks and all of them have bad connections except cingular. sprint is only saying that you get free calls after 7pm because theyre desperate for business. cingular has free calls on weekends, before 7am, and after 9pm. good luck and God bless you!!!

My bets are Cingular followed by T-MOBILE. Both use GSM handsets that can roam on each other's networks and in Europe, Asia and South America. Compare both for coverage and service in your area and the best price. Don't forget those affiliation discounts for where you work, go to school, etc.

neither. i have t-mobile and its the best. we have 3 phones and its less than a $90 a month. we get 1000 minutes every month and its free on weekends, to call anyone in the network, and anytime after 9.
