I have 3 cats who must be the biggest babies because they are literally living in the basement since I brought a new pup home. The pup has not made any attempt to chase the cats. What can I do??????

Let them hide. Cats can be a bit shy when new family members are introduced. It's best to let them deal with the puppy in their own time, when they are ready. Don't force any interaction, this will end badly for all parties involved. Make sure you have the food, water, and litter box in a place they can get to without having to confront the puppy. In a few weeks you will start seeing your kitties more, then soon they'll accept the pup.

I agree with the one above me " Carson", but also...let the puppy go down in the basement as well. He is right, don't force them together, but don't keep them apart also. The cats have to get used to them not going anywhere.
