I'm planning on going with my girlfriend. Looking for location over ammenties in the price range of $100 for the night. Can you rent camping gear at the park? Would you suggest camping or staying at an inexpensive lodge?

For around $100 a night you can get a room with a bath at the Yosemite Lodge, a room without a bath at the beautiful historic old Wawona, or a cabin with a private bath at Curry Village.
If you want romantic and decent cuisine, I would go for the Wawona. Of course, the Awahnee would be much better, if you are willing to pay $400 a night for a room.
If you want beautiful valley floor location and access to hiking trailheads, I would go for Curry Village. The cabins with bath are actually very nice.
If you want swarms of tourists and screaming rugrats, go for the Lodge. ;-)
Check out the link below for all of the in-park reservations, including info about the campgrounds. All of the high country camps are closed for the winter now, but the valley floor campgrounds should all still be open. But if you don't have camping gear, I think it will probably cost you as much or more to camp as it will to rent an inexpensive room. Good luck.

Try the Best Western Yosemite Gateway Hotel in Oakhurst. Its a nice hotel and its not a long drive to the Wawona park entrance. Rates are $62-109/night. Camping or staying within the park is an expensive and crowded venture.

For $100 you need to be looking at a camp ground and borrowing a tent and sleeping bags from someone you know. It's going to cost you a $20 just to get in the park. Then you still have to eat.

Camping in the center campground. It has been years, I don't remember the name, but waking up to that beauty as soon as you get out of a tent is way better than looking out the window, especially for Yosemite! (I've done both)

there's a youth hostel called BUG close by where you can get a room in a cabin with a private entrance, a bathroom. Very nice indeed.
