Would living in a lower gravitational environment be better for the elderly? Or would the lack of strong gravity cause a worsening condition for osteoporosis?

If they stayed outside, I imagine there would be less pressure on some internal systems. But I also imagine most people would choose to live in artificial environments that closely mimic earth. Osteoporosis wouldn't be a problem as long as they stayed out there, but they'd break every bone in their body if they ever came back.
