ok so theres a lot of websites that have multiple things you can download for the sims2. like new hairs, outfits, and objects.
how to do you get it so that the objects you download actually show up in the game?

okay, to ModTheSims2.com and download the Q-Xpress Installer (You have to registar first, but both are free to do!) then on that siter, download somthing (Like a set of somthing usually) with the Q-Xpress. Then you can download anything else that you want to even on other sites, you just have to go into Local History through the Q-Xpress and find whatever else you downloaded with the Q. It goes ahead and puts it right into the game for you! GOOD LUCK

If you are downloading them correctly and putting them in a folder that your game can read (I made one in the Sims2 file titled Downloads so I could find it, and have a common place to put things) while in the game you have to enable custom content which is in the setting (gears) while in a household.

go to www.thesims2filemaid.com and downlaod that, then just drag the files to it, when you have it loaded, and it will install them for you!
