To better serve us both, I'm going to list a few "must see" and then I'm going to give you a web site to check out which lists everything there is to do in LV with all the info you need.

Caesars Palace and the Forum Shops.
Go up in the Stratosphere Tower, it's an incredible sight.
The Venetian - Canals(ride)
Bellagio(of course the fountains)
Fremont Street(after dark)
Eiffel Tower at Paris
Luxor

Some of the best free shows
Sirens at Treasure Island
Masquerade Show in the Sky-Rio
Atlantis-Caesars Palace
Volcano-White Tigers-Mirage
Sunset stampede-Sam's Town
Lion Habitat-MGM

Fun Stuff that does not cost an arm and a leg
Adventuredome-Circus Circus
Star Trek the Experience-Las Vegas Hilton
King Tut's Tomb-Luxor
Shark Reef-Mandalay Bay

Ok, here's the site, it's the best there is for Las Vegas information

Black Jack depending on the rules and number of decks used has a house advantage of "around" .05% the only way to beat the house is to count cards, and then vary your bets according to the count...Craps is not beatable, there is NOT one bet you can make in craps that gives you an advantage over the house, there are somewhere around 200 bets in craps(depending on house rules) and the vast majority are bad ones, the best are "the pass line" "take the odds" "place the 6 or 8" all other bets are bad to VERY bad ones..the house advantage in craps is small "if you make the proper bets", and it is a fun game, but it is not a beatable game...Video Poker is beatable (IF) you know which games and pay schedules to look for and the correct strategy...VP strategy cards are available and are well worth the price..

Just so you know, there are only two games that you can actually beat the house on. Those two are Blackjack and Craps. You will need a whole lot of experience to win though. But you can get lucky playing any game.

As to what to see, check out the major resorts, Wynn, Venetian, Caesars, Belagio.

Best show in town, IMHO, Blue Man Group. Check out Love at the Mirage for a Circ show. Or Danny Gans (also at the Mirage) for a great all round Vegas experience.

Best clubs... Tryst, Foundation Room, Tao (Sutra).

Best after hours... Drai's, Seamless, Spearmint Rhino, Sheri's

Best buffet... Rio World Buffet

Hope that gives you a start... Also, when in doubt, ask a cabbie, they know everything.
