A question receives most answers when it appears in Page 1 of the questions list as this is the part most people are viewing. When a complicated question is asked, the answer usually takes a little bit of researching or googling, especially if you want to include a reference to the website/source. But the easy ones require no research whatsoever and for the time it remains near the top of the question list lots of answers will flood in for that very reason.
Also, it's an easy two points!
