You didn't say what kind of candy, hard, gummi, chocolate, etc. More likely the baby would get worms from your pets or crawling around outside where neighborhood animals may have been.

No. Worms generate from eggs, which are laid by mature worms etc. Somehow, those worms have to get into the baby's system -- either through unhygenic food handling practises, or through the common baby habit of crawling on the floor, picking things up and putting them in its mouth. Especially in a household where there is a dog or cat, who can carry worms and 'shed' the eggs.
Most candy is pretty safe because it is almost always boiled in the process of making it, and that boiling would tend to kill off any parasites that were in the ingredients. It isn't good for the baby, but it won't give them worms.

No candy can not. But if you baby is exposed to a cat, dog, or other pet with worms, there are chances of babys getting worms from your pet, as well as you.

For someone to get worms, they must consume something that has larvae or eggs in it. Candy, because it is so highly procecessed, is highly unlikely to have any larvae or eggs in it. Therefor, it should not give a baby worms. However, it is not the healthiest thing to give a baby. Try frozen vegtables (like string beans) instead- my mom said me and my siblings loved them when we were babies. I still do.

...if its candy worms...
....but... umm... no, worms are living parasites.. so therefore, there would have to be worms on the candy and then *everybody* who ate that candy would get worms.. not just babies.

I don't think so..unless they are part dog.
Any concerns should be addressed with your child's pediatrician. But too much of anything isn't good for anyone, especially for child. Their teeth, and some become to hyper as a result.

in fact up through the todler years they are at risk moreso than at any point thereafter
