Well... once you got far into your pregnancy, you are not suppose to do any ab exercises, because your ab muscles can tear apart ... which will be worse than just letting them go for a few months. Early pregnancy, you will just not show as soon... but, the six pack will not show on a pregnant belly. You abs separate when you get pregnant. The muscles go to the side... so that would look awfully silly/

Hey i always had abs,and no the muscles do not show over your pregnant belly. As the baby grows bigger you muscles spread apart to accomidate your baby. You ca work out your abs while pregnant.I have 6 kids and i will be a midwife soon so you can rely on my information. Of course your sit ups will not be how they were if you were not pregnant so we suggest when doin sit ups while pregnant when you can look at your tummy and see that its coming to a point ,which you will know what i mean if you ever get pregnant, that you stop and do not push past that point. You want to avoid the total separation of your abdominal muscles during pregnancy, they will be stretched a bit,but mine always came back together strong. After 4 or five months you won't be able to do them anymore because baby will be too far up.

The abs would show longer and the pregnancy would take longer to show. I had pretty good abs (though far from a defined six pack) and you could barely tell I was pregnant until almost six months... the stomach muscles hold baby in. Eventually though, baby wins the fight and your stomach muscles will split apart. It sounds painful, but its just kinda crampy. At this point the doctor will probably advise you to stop working out those muscles because over streching them is possible.

You won't show as early, but it is not possible to keep a six pack through your entire pregnancy. You should check with your doctor about working your abs later into pregnancy. Generally, you wouldn't be doing that when your stomach is bigger anyway. Its not physically possible. Also, after you have the baby, you have to wait for your muscles to go back together again. They pull apart in the middle from the baby.

You should not work out your abs when pregnant. Abdominal muscles separate in the middle to allow the uterus to grow; if you contract them too much (as in training work out), fetus can be compressed or even expelled. Normally, abdominal muscles play a big role during delivery; women with weak muscles sometimes are unable to push out the baby and therefore have a C-section.
Don't worry about your six pack during pregnancy; you can easily regain it after delivery.

No, you don't show a six pack over your pregnancy, but wouldn't that be sight? LOL
Women who are fit prior to pregnancy tend to lose their weight much faster than women who weren't as fit.

I don't think it would because as the belly enlarges, the muscles thin out. Interesting idea, though.

nicely it quite is not there anymore by way of fact the muscle groups get stretched out by way of becoming fetus in the tummy and plus there is going to be some fat layered on suitable of the muscle.
