My mom got married a couple of months ago and I LOVE MY STEPDAD...... well in the beginning me and my step sis were like bestfriends.... but her mom hates my mom and wont let her come around me...and my stepdad does nothing about it..... I want to have a relationship with my stepsister because her mom hates us she hates us...shes a 5 months younger then me... and is going threw the same problems I went threw.... what do i do

There are some adults who have a lot of hard feelings about the separation and divorce in a marriage. Kids and teens can pick up on these feelings, and from what I guess, your step sister picked up on her mom's feelings. Also, some adults do have a hard time accepting or have a rough time when their ex spouse marries and moves onto a new relationship and marriage. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do to establish a relationship at this time. I do wish I had better news for you, but there is a chance when she is older that there can be a relationship between you and your step sister. However, there is not much that can be done as long as she lives with her mom. Just hang in there!

Just give her time. She is projecting her mother's angry feelings for your stepdad onto you & your mother. The problem is theirs not yours so don't berate yourself. She probably feels like she is betraying her mom by being on friendly terms with you. She may also harbor some jealousy because her father is living with you and not her and her mom. There are some deep psychological issues at play here. Just be kind and patient and maybe in time she will come around.

She is probably siding with her mother. She feels she needs to be on her side for some reason. I would try talking to her and let her know that your parents relationship has nothing to do with the two of you. Maybe if the two of you could come together the parents could too as well....

that's almost as running around w / the bad girl on the block ..to your mom anyway. it is difficult once your mom puts her foot down like that. but you all will turn 18 before you know it and you can plan on that an go from there. maybe even get your own apt. together.

Her mom shouldn't take her hate out on you and her daughter. You should try talking to your step-dad about it. Also, try talking to your mom about this. It seems that everything is a misunderstanding. Hope everything works out for you! =]

Talk to your mom, and step dad about the situation, and see of they have any ideas for you, There the ones who can step in, and help you out.
