What you need to do is purchase paint or wallpaper at the hardware store. If you got to the hardware store there is a section for paint and a section for wallpaper. Click on either one of those and you can purchase wall/floor coverings for your room. Each 'sheet' of paint or wallpaper covers 1 surface in your room - meaning 1 wall or 1 floor. Once you've purchased the new paint or wallpaper visit your house and you will find it in your queue along with all your other items. Drag it into the room in which you wish it to appear and onto the correct surface (onto the wall for example). Then save the room and the color change is completed. NOTE: If you want to change more than one surface just drag the appropriate 'sheet' of paint or wallpaper onto each surface you wish to change.
