I have an absentee voters ballot. I accidentally marked a question wrong, I voted yes, and wanted to vote no. Can I change it, or will I get arrested? Please someone help me.

wayne, you don't even know what you're talking about...
I doubt you'll have time to request another absentee ballot. Call your local election officials and find out. Don't change it and send in, it will quite likely be rejected/thrown out.
Your other option is to take it with you to your local voting place, tell them the problem and ask them to vote during the normal election. They'll destroy your absentee ballot.

First of all if you are in Australia there is no way you can get arrested or fined unless you fail to vote. All you have to do is return the Vote form to the registrar to get another ballot paper.
No one puts your name on the ballot paper, so you can leave it blank, put a big X on it vote for Mickey Mouse anything,that is where the informal vote omes from or a protest vote. It is only your name which is registered against the Vote, there is nothing on the Ballot paper/Vote to identify you at all.

If the election has been over for a long time, it wont matter much. Depends on how much the individual won the election by. If the election has not been accomplished yet, you should contact you County clerk of the office that manages the elections and notify them of the error. You will not be arrested, since it is an honest mistake and you are reporting it.

If you voted for any repuglicans just throw it out it isn't any good anyway. Get hold of your country clerks office or a there should be a city official that handles elections and ask them, nobody here knows trust me. Oh I drought if they will arrest you but if they do say hi to the guys in gitmo for me will you.

Call your township clerk and ask if you can get another absentee ballot. But please do not vote for a republican.
