I didnt ever have a problem with bleeding on depo...quite the opposite..i never bled....but depo causes lots of unpleasant side effects....I would suggest getting off of that stuff and using something else...its not normal to bleed for so long...or to not bleed for so long for that matter.

I never had a problem with bleeding while on it, but I did gain 30 lbs. or so after being on it for about a year. I don't recommend it to anyone, not only because of the weight gain, but also from the other side effects I have heard women have.

You should seek medical advice, and perhaps try another form of birth control. I know we usually tend to use certain things because it's easier and more convenient, but when it's affecting your health, we need to reconsider... Good luck.

That is pretty common for the depo. especially for your first shot. My nurse told me that if you rub the area that you got the shot a lot it can cause this. It sounded crazy to me, but that is what she said. I didn't rub it anymore! But, it made me have some other problems and I got off of it. I don't think it is very good for you. I would suggest the pill or the nuva ring.

I had the same prob. I only got one shot. Bled for like two months, lightly and all. And my boobs hurt so bad. I could not handle it. Oh, and a friend of mine got pg on it. She did not have the bleeding issues.
