Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (now in paperback) and the sequel New Moon is good too.
Uglies trilogy by Scott Westerfeld (Uglies, Pretties, Specials)
Peeps by Scott Westerfeld (Last Days is the sequel)
Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz

Sarah Dessen is one of my all-time favorite writers. Every book she's written is good. So you can't really go wrong there. My personal favorite is The Truth About Forever. Her newest one is called Just Listen.

Joan Bauer is another favorite of mine. My personal favorite would be Hope Was Here, but again I've loved all of her books.

If you like historical fiction, I recommend Carolyn Meyer and Ann Rinaldi.

For fantasy, I love Shannon Hale, Libba Bray, and Robin McKinley.

I just read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It was soooooo good, and there's a sequel (I haven't read yet.).
Also His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman if you're into fantasy. If you do read this one, don't bother with Lyra's Oxford, it's really expensive and you can read it in like half an hour, and it doesn't make sense anyways.
Um...A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. There's a sequel to this one also. It's fantasy-ish.
Well I really want this book, it's called St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves by Karen Russell. It sounds really good. It's a collection of short stories.
I just started re-reading Summer of My German Soldier by Bette Greene. it's pretty good.
Um...there's Freshman by Michael Gerber, that's really funny...there's I was a Non-Blonde Cheerleader by Kieran Scott that's brainless and shallow but enjoyable.
Well if you like the Clique Series you would prbably like the Gossip Girl Series. I'm sorry, I haven't read them myself, but a lot of people I know do and they seem like the same sort of books.

well that's all I can think of for now. good luck!!!

King Fortis the Brave would be a great choice. About a pair of twins pulled into a magical world where they get caught up in a battle for control of the land. It's full of humor and magic and is really a great book.
