which is better rap or rock music and why?

I like rock better. Not hard rock, but the simple rock. Rap is usually too fast for me to understand. Occasionally, I'll like a rap song, but rock tends to have lyrics I can relate to more. I've never been to the hood, but I do go through everyday things.

Rock. All kinds of Rock. The lyrics are better, have more meaning and personally i just like the sound better. I find most Rap stupid and Nasty....And it just keeps geting worse! the old stuff didn't used to be so bad..

I'd have to say I like rock better, because the lyrics are something I can relate too, and sometimes it does help me. But rap can be my second best at times, because it's not mostly about making love w/ girls or their "bling".
I just noticed that...:
Rock is mostly about breaking/broken love
Rap is mostly about making love
Pop is mostly about finding love
Country is mostly about brining love into the world.
But rock is more real, and the lyrics are something people can relate to, and it has good taste. Rap is just a fantasy, and only rare rappers' lyrics are good (ie, Tupac), but like I said, their rare. Country, the lyrics are OK, but the music sucks *I'm sorry country lovers*

rock, because rap songs are usually about girls or bling or something that the rapper owns. Rock is about a lot of things, and the music is really varied there. I don't really beleive rap is a type of music as the rappers usually just talk trash really fast.

I really prefer Rock....i was raised with it first off....tho i see the artistry in Rap. I love all kinds of music but don't miss a chance to find out what is new and happening. my fvourites in music include Rock, the Blues, some techno, Classical......see? All kinds. There is a great sho in which Ice-T has young rappers vying for a golden mic...it is fantastic...it is the only reality show that I like.

ROCK! because i just can't listen to anything else. just give me any metal music and i am there. i just love it. and with rap i just feel that it is the same, over and over again, B*tches, bling, and all of their money. with rock, i know it is crazy and sometimes doesn't make sense, but at least it is interesting and unique.

I think that i like rap more, because almost anyone can make shitty hip-hop, but theres SO MUCH good hip hop out there, it will never saturate a market - especially because most of the really good stuff is slightly underground
